Through our partnership with Columbia County Current, Beach & Bartolo is proud to support the educational and cultural institutions that make the City of Hudson a wonderful place for families. In September 2019, one of Hudson’s most iconic museums hosted a very special guest.
Wild Morning at the FASNY Museum
The FASNY Museum of Firefighting welcomed Smokey Bear and his "Forest Friends" for an interactive morning of conservation and safety. The event brought together local families and visitors to learn about the importance of protecting our natural landscapes.
2019 Event Highlights:
-
Live Wildlife: Visitors met live forest animals from the Forest Park Zoo, providing a hands-on look at the habitats that fire safety helps protect.
-
Forest Ranger Visit: A local Forest Ranger demonstrated the specialized equipment used to fight forest fires, giving children a behind-the-scenes look at emergency services.
-
Interactive Learning: From Smokey Bear photo-ops to specialized crafts, the day reinforced the timeless message: “Only YOU Can Prevent Forest Fires.”
-
Location: FASNY Museum of Firefighting, 117 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson, NY 12534
