Susan’s journey to upstate real estate reflects a rich, multifaceted background:
International Foundations: Born in England, Susan began her career path in Switzerland, where she earned a hotel certificate—instilling in her a high standard of hospitality, client service, and attention to detail.
Academic & Creative Training: Her travels eventually brought her to New York City, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Fordham University and developed her eye for aesthetics and spatial design at the New York School of Interior Design.
This combination of formal design knowledge and hospitality experience gives Susan an invaluable perspective when assessing a property’s potential, layout, and presentation.

Susan’s connection to Columbia County spans more than fifty years:
Lifelong Resident & Entrepreneur: She first fell in love with the area in 1973 when purchasing a weekend home. In 1997, she made Old Chatham her full-time residence and quickly became an integral part of the community as the owner and operator of a popular local food and gift shop.
Her decades-long residency provides buyers and sellers with nuanced insight into local neighborhoods, zoning contexts, and market evolution across the county.
